When August first experienced grass in Chelan and Centralia, he didn’t really know what to do with it. Now he loves it, at you can see in the photos from Cheonggyecheon stream and on top of the apartment building earlier this week. But he hasn’t had much experience with dirt until today. 

Normally I make him have his pacifier in if he is playing with anything that he might be able to put in his mouth. It want in for this video, so I had to quickly stop him a couple of times. Right after this, I put in his pacifier, but then he just wanted to play with his rattle.  

We left the apartment three times today:

Once before his first nap to walk around the apartment complex south of us:

We saw two cats above the benches:

And he liked the trunks:

A second time just to the park across the street to try to meet up withr a friend and his son:

And a third time to go to the carnival that was being held at the school:

Here he is watching Carly ‘work’. If he could talk, he would have a very odd idea of what she does for work, as he saw her picking up cans and plastic bottles:

This might not seem to different from the drawers of yesterday, but he was playing with three differently, and he quickly caught on to pushing the clothes:

I figured Wednesday was going to be a light day in terms of photos and videos. I was wrong:

One of the 5th grade teachers is connecting his students with older students and adults to help them with their writing. So I need to create a little in two video of myself. So August and I went atop the apartment building across the park from us and spent a couple hours filming be and just playing:

He enjoyed pulling pieces off the old plants. Note the grass re somehow got stuck to his pacifier:

in he evening, he got really excited for the apple sauce Carly was feeding him:

On Tuesday, August and I headed downtown to walk all 5 or 6 miles of Cheonggyecheon stream. And to try out a little time lapse video. So I held the phone for the entire walk, and came up with this. The iPhone only made it 26 seconds long, and it screwed up the last 10% or so of the walk, but it is stil pretty cool:

Between walking the stream and crossing the river to head home, we hung out in the grass for a good hour and a half. August had a blast:

We walked to the top of a hill/park that is on the way to APIS. Since that didn’t happen until the afternoon, we had a lot of fun at home first:

Someone mentioned that there weren’t any photos yet of August in his sleep sack. So here you go:

On Saturday we went to the Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art with our friend Meg, after which we briefly visited the temple that August and I had gone to on Friday. 

On Sunday we went to an Indian restaurant in Hoegi for the going away dinner for a staff member at APIS. We got down there early so we could get coffee at a nice coffee shop and walk around the nearby university.

There was some sort of service occurring at the temple. It was a nice place to be as the sun set:

He was in fine form on the bus, entertaining everyone with his hyperactivity. When he felt like not enough people were paying attention to him he would make more noise:

He got to try the hollow pacifier thing. We squished banana into it and let him at it:

In the morning I went to Costco, while Carly planned to take August to Home Plus. He fell asleep though, and they were just leaving as I got back to the building. I had to take a photo of his outfit:

in Hoegi we got coffee and walked around. There are a lot of murals on the side streets. Here are a few of them:

Sourh Korea loves the Little Prince. You find references to it everywhere:

This was where we changed August at Kyunghee University. We have found a lot of nice places outdoors to change him. This task is going to get much more difficult when the weather gets colder:
