Shops on the Street

There are also a lot of items sold on the street, such as fruit. Although, I have yet to buy anything from them.
A picture for my mom :-)

This is one of the convenience stores on the bottom floor of our apartment building where we often buy milk or juice. I just couldn’t bring myself to take a picture while inside… maybe I would if I could explain to the nice man who works there that the picture is for my mom who really wants to see where we shop. But, since I can’t communicate that, I quickly took this outside and hoped he didn’t see me.
Random Statues

We like the statues that are often around the shopping malls. Not that we frequent shopping malls. Look over there!
Stonecrop

I like to eat this in my salads. Anyone heard of it before?
Tall Interesting Structures

They have quite a few of these here. Someone said they let out the exhaust from underground parking garages. Sometimes they paint them, which is nice. Anyway, I thought this photo Ryan took was a good one.
Big Brother

Before the typhoon (which wasn’t much of a typhoon where we are) hit, a voice spoke to us. From the wall. Really.
Who knows what it was saying since we still (surprisingly) don’t speak Korean. Ryan suggested the possibility that it was Kim Jong Un informing us that North Korea had taken over. I thought it seemed 1984ish. Either way, it seemed appropriate to salute the Voice in the Wall.
Market
Yesterday our park was filled with a small market-like festival thing-of-sorts. The best part was the people dancing to K-Pop.

Where’s Carly?

Try to find her in this photo. It’s like ‘Where’s Waldo?’ but without any red.
Home Plus
Mom wanted pictures of the stores we shop in. One of them, Home Plus, is a large, multi-level store a couple blocks from our apartment. It’s always exhausting shopping in Home Plus because we don’t know where things are and can’t ask for help. So, yesterday, I was hungry and we took advantage of one of the fast food restaurants within the store. I think that’s my new strategy: take a break and have a snack while shopping.
