And the exercise ball seems to be winning…
He’s played with this rope several times since I gave it to him a couple days ago.
August woke up really early, and woke up early from his first two naps, so he was sleepy much of the day. As a result, he did a lot of lounging in bed:

Here he is, just relaxing on mom’s pillow for five or so minutes:

And playing around the house:
When we went for a walk in the afternoon, we stumbled across a park with some interesting play structures:

In the evening we went out for a little walk as well. August really, really wanted Carly’s dessert:

I got a good video of August waking up:
In the morning he played with the salad spinner:

And with the toys in his toy box:

For our adventure, we went to hike a ‘mountain’ four subway stops to the southeast of us. On the short walk from the bus to subway, August really liked the wind in the ivy:
When we got to the park we spent a few hours there hiking around and seeing the sights:

Looking towards downtown Seoul:

This was a site of one of the city’s old smoke signal defense posts:

Here he is enjoying the bench wat the top of the mountain that we used as a changing table:

A lot of stairs:

And when we got home he got to eat some apple sauce and sweet potato:

Usually he still does more moving backwards than forwards, but sometimes he manages to make more forward progress.
Here, he is playing with his little music box toy and it gets away from him, and after some backwards scooting he manages to reverse course and get closer to the toy:
It rained and it rained and it rained. It rained for our shopping trip to Home Plus. Here August is checking himself out in the mirror to make sure he’s ready to go out:

while playing in his room, August started on the carpet but ended up under the chair, which he enjoyed:

Until he wants to get out and realized he could just go backwards. Notice how he hits his head on the floor and starts crying at the end:
After his nap we went over to the framing shop to pick up the last three pieces we needed to get framed for August’s room. August enjoyed helping to carry the umbrella:

Here are the three framed pieces. Now that the room is complete, I plan on doing a post sometime in the future showing all the artwork:

Finally, when I dropped him off at APIS he was a hit with the 7th grade girls:

Just some bits and pieces from around the house, our Saturday trip to Itaewon, and our Sunday walk to a park:
I introduce to you, Two-spoons Zinn:
