This was from yesterday.

This was from yesterday.

Well, for me. Doesn’t really affect anyone else. Here are some photos of our lazy Sunday, featuring plenty of shots with Oma and me. Somehow, Carly managed to not get her photo taken by me today.

Also, I just added several photos to the Flickr page. See the link over to the left (or above, if you’re viewing this on a mobile device).
First bath in a tub, because he had one previous bath in a sink (and of course has had some sponge baths). But someone took the video in the wrong orientation for that bath so I haven’t posted it here…Warning: August is not yet happy with the idea of baths. So you might want to turn those speakers down.
Today we went down and got bubble tea and then bagel bites from Dunkin Donuts and went over to the park where we sat for awhile and then went over the bridge to the other side of the park and briefly went to the art museum. Here are videos of Carly getting her picture taken and what August was doing at the time: sleeping.
August has started to interact more with objects, namely his pacifier (which he of course sucks on, but will also hold and try to adjust with his hand, and will sort of look for when it has fallen out of his mouth) and the set of rattles that one of our students got for us. Here are three videos from the last couple days of him with his objects.
I don’t have anything clever or witty to say about it.

This is one of two rattles we use to entertain him on the changing table. I also have used it with him while playing on the floor and couch. He has started to interact with it in a semi-intentional way.
We generally swaddle him at night, but during the day we don’t, and he spends most of his sleeping time with his hands up, in fists, like this:
