This Is Our Blog

August took a total of three naps in the carrier today: one on our long walk, one on the trip to Costco, and one while at the art museum. He does quite well with the adventuring. Here are some highlights:

Actually, his spoon was the perfect size. But he still isn’t too sure about the squash, even though it was mixed with milk. He is liking the experience though:

Cherie bought this toy for August when she was here in the spring. He has played with it a bit, but this was definitely new:

August wore his green hat for, I believe, the first time today as we took the bus to Hyehwa today. Along the way, he got to smile at some girls out the window at one stop, play with the older woman that sat next to us, and being home his first fast food toy – a straw he loved chewing on and holding, even as he fell asleep in the cab ride home. 

We bought a squash the other day and today my dad cut it up and cooked it for August. We think it is a buttercup squash, or something similar. 

We we fed it to him twice – once in the morning and once in the evening. First 3 videos are from the morning, last one is from the evening.

We went to Dream Forest yesterday for a gathering of APIS staff and faculty families. A lot of children and babies:

When August is in the wrap, he intently studies every move that Carly makes. Particularly when she is eating:

Friday, August and I went on a nice long walk with my dad. Along the way we found a new park, looked at the burial place of some old lord, saw the science center that is being built, bought some random beverages, and got to see August burst out crying at random women that were talking to him. Twice. Usually he loves the attention, but not today.
